i've been at this job for over a year, and i've just figured out what my job description actually is.
i think they over-hired. they hired someone (me) with a degree in a fairly technical field to do a job that, no offense, could be done by anyone with the proper training.
what gets me is that my interviews for this position were aimed at my technical expertise and experience. now, i've apparently turned everything on its ear without even knowing it.
to all employers out there: know what you want the person filling a new position to do before you interview them.
